Meet The Team

The NextGen Leadership Team

Our leadership team has a multi-decade track record of successful analysis, acquisition, development, and management projects. The small leadership team keeps projects nimble and emphasizes contact with NextGen principals at every stage.

Hilton Efune

Co-founder and Chairman

In 1976, Hilton Efune immigrated to the United States, and began working as an electrical subcontractor. Since then, he has managed electrical work in over 200,000 units across the Southwest, from southern California, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico.

In 2000, Hilton saw a new opportunity, and started Nextgen. He’s been involved in the development of over 2000 units since 2002. Thanks to Hilton’s conservative investment strategies, the economic downturn in 2007 provided unique opportunities for NextGen. Instead of selling properties at a loss, their low leverage allowed them to weather the storm. In 2012, NextGen’s immaculate reputation and integrity allowed the company to have a first mover advantage when the market turned.

Hilton Efune is a voting member of NextGen’s Investment Committee.

Efune is actively Involved in Beth Tefilah in Scottsdale, and serves on their building committee. He is also a passionate supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project.
