Matt Windisch

Matt Windisch has served as our controller since November 2017. In this role, he oversees the company’s accounting functions, including development and construction accounting; corporate reporting; tax planning and compliance; financial analysis; and the development of accounting policies.

Matt comes to NextGen with deep financial experience in the real estate sector. Prior to joining our company, he spent seven years as a tax supervisor at RSM US, LLP, the fifth largest public accounting firm in the nation. He also served as a staff accountant for real estate development firm W Holdings, LLC.

Among his credentials, Matt is an IRS-certified Enrolled Agent. He has his Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Arizona and his Masters of Legal Studies from Arizona State University.

When he’s not crunching numbers for NextGen or spending time with his family, you may find Matt summiting a mountain, training for a marathon, or cheering for the Cardinals, Diamondbacks, and Wildcats. He and his wife, Amy, have a daughter, son and two pleasantly plump beagles.

Matt co-founded Zark Parking Solutions, in partnership with Daniel, in 2019. Zark Parking Solutions is a mobile app that answers an inefficiency they saw in parking management at apartment communities.
