We Are NextGen

NextGen is family-founded, born out of a long-standing love for development. In 1976, Daniel Efune's father Hilton Efune immigrated to the United States from South Africa. Leveraging his electrical contracting background, Hilton built his electrical subcontracting business first in Southern California, then in Arizona, from the ground up. During this time, he interfaced with successful developers and saw an opportunity to do things differently. An ambitious entrepreneur at heart, Hilton founded NextGen in the early 2000s. In 2012, Daniel took the helm and shifted the business mindset from merchant development to focusing on long term real estate ownership. This model has been the cornerstone for NextGen's success as a premier multi-family developer ever since.
